o All!
Thank you all for the very informative information on the forum, I've just accepted the offer to join Aramco. I've always been living in Central London and never really needed a driving license, reading through the posts it seems a car is a necessity, did anyone managed to get a driving license (without exchange of current UK/US)? if so, what is the process, and if Aramco helps?

No website and I can’t see the RA being able to help because I would imagine you’d need an iqama in order to log the required hours of practice. Better off waiting until you get here. you mention UK/US, do you have a license at all? Because there are a few nationalities that can straight convert.

Thank you tamsin, any suggested ones I could read the requirements on? There isn't a website as far as I know since you can only make the booking for the driving pre-assessment via your Absher account when you're here. For a Pakistani driving license, it's most unlikely that they will accept an exchange. You'll first need to an eye/medical test in John Hopkins or other hospital in town; you'll go with the results when you go to get your license after training has been completed. When the assessor takes you on the pre-assessment, he'll decide what level of driver you are, and the duration required for your training. For someone who could drive before, you'll may be assessed as an advanced driver which will mean 1 week of combined online classroom learning (2days), written test (1day) and track training (2hours on 1day). Other possibility for a previously qualified driver is they assess you as a "medium" driver after the pre-test which will require 2 weeks of training (same as earlier mentioned, but with 1 full week of track training.
