I guess Aramco still only allowing certain passport/nationalities to live on camp. There are lots of Indians that live on camp but all either hold Canadian or European passports. I think about 90% of them hold Canadian passports.

This is for Dhahran. I am Indian and currently based out of India. Most of my work experience has been in the US (pre-pandemic world). Where ur place of work, Dhahran? Surprising to see they won't. Understand nationalities matter to them but they did offer you GC14 which is relatively senior level so would have thought they do offer on camp housing at that level, even for certain nationalities.

I am trying to understand if unit availability is really an issue? What size units are allocated at GC14 level for a family composition similar to mine (2+3)?

Housing doesn’t change until GC15, and even then it’s not a big change. It’d be a 3 bed house, standard townhome or similar.

There are plenty of empty houses in the camp. I believe everybody with grade 11 above will live in camp now. My Husband was recently offered G13 was not offered camp accommodation… even after trying to negotiate Hi w288 - We are in the same situation. RA is not willing to budge. What did you guys decide? We are still to accept the offer. Thanks!

Once you're in-Kingdom and receive the yellow slip that you'll send back to your family to allow them apply for their entry visa, you'll be allowed to bid for a house in-camp, and because Aramco will have you on the "local community" list, you're most certain to get the house you're interested in. If you're employed on bachelor or single status, you can bid for a house immediately you get in-Kingdom. Your relocation advisor isn't privy to this information, so they'll just insist that you won't be able to get a place on camp; that way, they don't over-promise what they can't deliver or have sufficient information about.

Usually you get your home allocated once they have your definite arrival date. I was under the impression that if you are family status you go straight into a family home, bachelor into bachelor. And that bidding can only happen after 2 years, assuming you have the points and appropriate family size for the home you want. Is the above how you did it?

Actually what you've mentioned applies to folks on the global or American payroll. For people on the Eastern payroll, you don't get assigned a house automatically. Males get assigned to temporary housing near the office area pending when you can collect your rental assistance and get a place outside camp. If you however indicate interest in a place on camp, you then have to go through the process I laid out above. Females on the Eastern payroll are also automatically expected to collect a rental assistance and stay outside camp, but I'm not sure of where they are housed while that is sorted.

My offer states that I will be based in Udhailiyah. But accomodation(Family status) is Off Camp. I want to know where will I find house outside the camp.In Udhailiyah or some other nearby city? How much is rent in/near Udhailiyah? What options do I have for schooling of my kids outside Udhailiyah camp?

Also might be worth looking at the Udh section of living in Saudi aramco communities on this forum.

I have the same note in my contract. Will get confirmation soon about housing, because I'm flying on the 29th. RAA means searching for homes yourself? That's not at all what most people have been preparing for, I'm sure.
