I have seen the word “visa stamping” here a few times but I was recently told that they no longer stamp visa on the passport. Has anyone been issued a visa recently? I recently sent off my passport and received the Saudi visa as a separate piece of paper rather than a ‘stamp’. I am heading out to Dhahran at the end of December from the UK. yes, i got on a separate piece of paper as well. I believe its commmon for middle eastern countries...

I am still waiting for visa block and it seems that weather it is fast or slow also depends on nationality. Mine is still in progress, soon to be 5 months. You mentioned that it took more than 3 months, did you have to do the medical again? i heard it is valid only for 3months. |

Just an update, maybe it will be useful for someone. I had my first interview in February 2023, and my visa block came in just a couple of weeks ago. Meaning the total wait/process took a year.

In person interview March 15, 2023 Offer received March 17, 2023. Medical May 7 (then had to reschedule to June 10) Visa block received Feb 24, 2024 The wait happened because of my nationality, I live in UK, but I am from EU. I was asked in summer 2023 if by any chance I have dual citizenship or am in proccess of obtaining dual citizenship, having British passport would have moved things faster. |

I went with my British nationality. Thanks |
