Not British but French living in the UK. waiting for my visa since 2-3 weeks. Heard that it can take time but they are trying to solve the issue related to the visa system.

Got mine yesterday. Took two full months for me. RA will be sending it for stamping tomorrow I believe.

Congratulations !! That is a long waiting. I'm sure you must have been relieved.
Im wondering how long did it take you to get the visa once the visa block itself was available? Are you by any chance British/EU passport holder ?

Waiting to get my Visa stamped now. Not sure how long but RA is saying a few days. I am Canadian not British.

What is the visa block? My RA asked for my passport today for stamping and 2 photos. Does this mean there is no block?

What is the visa block? My RA asked for my passport today for stamping and 2 photos. Does this mean there is no block? Visa Block is a blanket visa that the Saudi employer files for with the govt. They basically get visas approved for a list of positions that they need to hire for from outside the Kingdom (without the names of the candidates). If your documents have been requested for stamping then that means they have an approved block visa available for your position. |

I received a call today from RA to say Visa has been approved, expect Visa to be stamped on passport in the next 3-5 days and then they will ask me in writing to resign from my current employer. Hi there, So this basically means once you get your passport back with the visa stamp, Aramco asks you to resign with your current employer. What does resign in writing mean, Aramco asks for proof that you have resigned from the current employer? |

Did Aramco keep your passport for the full two months while you were waiting for the delays from SA ministry. Or did they only ask for your passport when they knew it was ready to be stamped? Meaning I hope your passport was not at the Saudi Embassy for two months. |

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your valuable insights. For the people who waited for the visa block process for weeks/months, did Aramco ask you to send the passport to the embassy for all this time. Or did they only ask to send the passport once the block was approved. Once the block is approved, how long does the stamping take and you have your passport back in hand? I ask because I travel quite a bit for work, and the max I can have my passport away from me is 5ish days.

I believe, the passport submission is voluntary, you should be able to submit it on a later day as soon as visa block is approved. In UK, the stamping typically takes 2-4 days. Its typical for them to expect no delays from our side but we cant expect the same from them  . I would be hesitant to submit passport if visa block is not approved. |

I recently sent off my passport and received the Saudi visa as a separate piece of paper rather than a ‘stamp’. I am heading out to Dhahran at the end of December from the UK. Does this sound ok/normal? |
