Hi Everyone!
Flying out to Dhahran in 2 days and found out today that I got assigned a 2 bedroom apartment in Jebel Heights on Jodah Street.
I’ve got a family with one kid and second kid on the way in 2 months.
I was really hoping we get a house cause I have a lot of furniture to ship. But any advice on how good or bad these apartments are compared to a stater house in Dhahran Hills?

1450 sqft I believe. 2 bed, 1 study, with 2.5 bathrooms.

Ahh okay. Well maybe this is a good thing then. We are quite happy that these are much modern. Not having a gae limits the stoe space though. Hoping we can eventually get a three bedroom based on two kids.
Do you know how old both kids need to be in order for us to be eligible for 3 bedroom? As soon as they’re born or once they reach a certain age?

As soon as they’re born or once they reach a certain age? I believe they are not counted for the first year then it’s 2 to a room, if same gender. So, for a 3 bed you need 3 children or 1 girl and 1 boy. |

Jebel Heights apartments are very nice. I have enjoyed it during my first month but we are only two adults. They are spacious and modern. I live in the same building 5

Not sure if Jebel Heights is more (used to be, I think it changed) but it’s monthly, straight out of salary. 1 riyal per sq. ft, so a 2 bed house in the hills is about $450, bills included. Apart from internet, you have to sort that yourself. |

Hi all, Hope my message finds you well and in great shape! We are a family of 3 (newborn baby girl) and getting ready to relocate in Dhahran in the next couple of weeks. My wife and baby girl will join after few months actually. I was informed that housing will be allocated in Jebel Heights (2 bedrooms + study) - most propable. Could you please share few details regarding JH i.e. only appartmemts or houses too, appts are modern & spacious, how many floors per building, parking spaces per appartmemt, garden in the building etc? Is there any chance to switch to a house? Are there playgrounds easily accessible (even on foot) in JH? Finally, is there any bus connection from JH to Aramco office? Or car purchase is a must? Many thanks in advance  |

The area is only apartments, 3 stories high with lift. One parking space per apartment. They are new build and roughly the same size as the 2 bed houses.
All residential housing is provided with parks/green space within a short walking distance and work buses.
A lot of young families in the apartments.
As far as switching to a house, probably not. Due to the voltage conversion and now the renovation programme, housing is at a premium and some families are being placed outside because there is nothing for them, currently.

Please which areas of Dhahran camp has 3 br houses. I will be arriving in may with family to join later. I really wish I can get one of the houses that is relatively new and with a backyard.

All areas have 3 br houses. All houses have a yard. You have no chance at all of the JH new houses, they do not put new hires in them. You can move house using your bidding points after 2 years but it’s 10 years plus of points for 1 of the new houses. |
