Hearing the feedback after the first interview

Hi all, I had my first interview two months ago and since then no feedback or an update yet. A recruiter reached out to me and applied on behalf of me so I have no access to my application stats. Does this period of waiting seem normal? How to get access to y application status even I asked the recruiter and no answer back just saying waiting for an update from the hiring manager? If my application has been declined does necessarily I receive a feedback or a refusal email? During the interview I was asked if I have no issue with working in remote areas, it seemed I won't be accompanied by my family.

Any body has a clue.
