Hi All,
I would like to know the probability of getting permanent employee from SMP Contract in present days. Anyone heard recently regarding the same? Bcoz some are saying it never happens, some are saying it depends.Is there any single Hole?
kindly requesting to address the query.

Your contractor may well tell you after 2 years it is possible. In practice not so easy. I know of people who have been SMP for 8, 10 even 15 years+ with no conversion.
I am not saying it will not happen, but it is in no way guaranteed. You would probably need to have a very specific and desired skillset for it to happen which begs the question why they did not offer you direct hire in the first place?

The recruitment drive itself was for SMP job role.Thought of accepting the offer coz its Aramco!!

One of my coworkers was converted from smp to direct aramco employee. I don't recall how many years he was smp before converting. I also know several other smp's in our group, not sure what their opportunity is for conversion.
