Hi- any idea on range of monthly expenses by expats. Family of 4. Grocery / fuel / housing contribution / dining out / entertainment etc… Thanks. Cost of living can be cheap or as expensive as you wish, and depends your home country for comparison. I'm from the UK so find grocery shopping expenses on par with what I'm used to. Dining out is much cheaper than the UK, and fuel is less than a third of what it costs in the UK. A litre of 91 gas is 2.18sar and 95 is 2.33sar. Housing depends on your housing, expect around $400-500 a month, which is good as this includes all utility bills, ac and any maintenance costs.

We are a one child family, but teen (they are very expensive) and it’s between $3-4k a month, depending on school holidays. That’s groceries, eating out (at least twice a week), clothes, general mall shopping (candles and Sephora), 3 phones, 2 cars, internet, gardener. Rent/utilities will come out at payroll, about $500 at a rough guess.

Food costs are similar to what we paid back in Britain, some things are more (imported products) others less. Eating out costs about the same, except for fast food which is actually cheaper!
Petrol is cheap and diesel even more so. Activities for the kids can be pricey and clothing, toys etc cost considerably more. A t-shirt from M&S costs 30% more here than it does in London.

Thank you all for the information.
My question is, is it cheaper off camp to do your shopping/eating out? If so, is there much of a difference?
