Hi, Have received my entry visa which will expire on 24 May. I have a family commitment on 20 May, so plan to travel on 21 May earliest, which would only be a couple of days before the entry visa expires.
Is this going to be a problem, as I hear Iqama can take 1-3 weeks, so effectively I would not have a valid visa for a period whilst waiting for Iqama?

No issue as once you arrive, you effectively can't leave until Iqama is processed. Once Iqama is available you then need to get an exit/entry Visa, either single or multiple, and each has varying costs
