Hi Everyone,
This forum is very good platform for new Hires. I just got conditional offer for "Field Maintenance Project Coordinator" role at Ras Tanura Refinery in GC11. I was interviewed for Instrument Engineer post, but they offered different role. I did not find any information about this role. Can anyone please inform about job profile. I have to find accommodation outside Aramco camp, Can anyone suggest accommodation near Ras Tanura refinery or I will need to find accommodation in Dhahran or Al Khobar? Your Reply will be very helpful.

Question: Why do you have to find accommodation outside? Are they running out of houses inside? or it has to do with GC?

Yes, In offer they have mentioned that accommodation will be outside camp and they will allot in camp once it will be available. |

Everybody gets something along the lines of “in the event of accommodation not being available”, so if it was that, it’s just to cover them and leftover from the busy days. Virtually nobody is out of the camps these days. Unless by choice.

There is no shortage of accomodation outside of Najma compound in Ras Tanura. There is at least one reasonable compound (bachelor) but it is expensive. To save you asking I do not know how much it is.
Lots of apartments and realtor type rental offices around also so you could take your time to find a decent place.
Family status would complicate it a little because you need a larger place and I'm not sure what your schooling options would be. Dammam is doable as is Khobar, but you are looking at a minimum 1 hr each way commute daily in crazy traffic.

If anyone can put some light on job role as "Field Maint. Project Coordinator". It would be very helpful if you can share job function for that position.
