Dear all, hope this finds you well. I´m expecting to travel by December 31st. - Would someone explain how´s the arrival first days? I´ve received some infos that they should be like: Arrival day; rest day; 2 days of orientation; Start working. - Is it easy to find a pre paid SIM Card at the KSA Airport? - During Orientation, will they help to open a worldwide bank account or if the KSA bank is able to transfer abroad?
Thanks in advance for any response or hint!

Generally you will get into Dammam early hours of the Friday morning. An Aramco rep will meet you airside IIRC and issue you with temporary Aramco ID.
Someone from your department should meet you at arrivals and take you to your allocated home on camp. There will be basic furniture, utensils and plates/cutlery and a "welcome" pack of food essentials (pasta, rice; bread etc) to see you thru till you can hit the supermarket next day.
As to Sim card - there are booths in the airport. STC was the Saudi national telecoms company and generally us a good bet or you can go for Mobily or Zain. Get a payg sim with a data package to see you thru the first month - you register it to your passport / visa and can have only 1 sim till you get an iqama.
As to banks - Aramco will pay your settling in allowance and salary to the bank of your choice worldwide or even split between banks as you wish (have the swift code for the bank / card you will be using), but you can't open a Saudi account till you have your Iqama. If you need an international account that should be opened before you leave your home country.
First few weeks i used my UK account / debit card till I had the Saudi account.
You literally need your Iqama for everything so until that is processed (a few weeks usually) you will be living off of cash and credit cards.

BlueStaff Thank you so much for your response. As I´m going as rotational worker, I´m not pretty sure if there will be an allocated home camp for me. I´m expected to be onboard my 42 days of schedule. Already checking for the STC pre paid sim options! Thanks! As to banks, do you know if "digital" banks are accepted for salary? They have swift code. Thanks for the hints about the need of some cash for a while at the first weeks! Best regards

The bank should be ok. If you are rotational then your first few days will be on camp in transient housing till you get everything sorted out before going "onboard".

BlueStaff Thanks! Probably it will be like that. Some days on camp until everything is ok to start onboard.
