o! Can someone tell what Facebook groups are geared for Aramco housewives/ moms in Dharan Camp?
Also I understand KSA has “opened” more over the past 5 years.... Can someone please tell me in the current times, are nerf guns (it’s a toy for children) allowed to be brought into the country?
I “heard” that personal s are allowed, can I put in my checked luggage. Is that true? What about personal crosses and religious photos of and Mary and Christmas ornaments? Is it dealt with on a case by case basis, so take your chance, banned still or allowed?
Thanks!

There’s a few groups that are just casual organisation then a few more attached to self directed social groups. Plus lots of what’sapp group chats for groups school, kids activities etc.
Nerf guns can be bought here, doesn’t directly answer you but I think it’d be okay.

I haven't had an issue with religious items. Don't bring a case of s with you, as that would flag that you are proselytizing and that is a crime. Have your items in your carryon luggage and there should be no issue.
I believe there is a store in Riyad that sells Christmas ornaments and decorations that opened last year. I have never heard anyone having problems bringing in ornaments of a Christmas tree.
My experience has been Saudis are welcoming people and they don't care what you are doing in your own home and in tern show them the same respect for their country, culture and traditions.
The items that will get you in trouble in your luggage are drugs and alcohol

We have been assigned in the Hills with a 110v townhouse. Was reading the FAQs from years past, and it sounds like there was quite the conversion on camp. Since we are coming from the US, I am happy to ship my appliances. However with that said, I did read on this forum that bringing 110 V appliances was banned, is it currently banned if shipped in my container? I can’t imagine I can even purchase 110V at the large department stores anyways, unless could the paperwork be inaccurate?

You should have a couple of 230v sockets in the house - 1 each in living room, bedroom and maybe 2 in kitchen.
Literally the only dedicated 230v items you need in the house are a vacuum cleaner and kitchen appliances. All other things like TV, computer, chargers etc are multiple voltage and can be used on 120v.
Check the power supply for them - usually it will say 100v-230v, 50/60 Hz. In this case buy some 120v plugs in the local shops and swap them out on any new appliance you buy or bring them across with you.
Banned items - in theory yes. In practice its your personal items for personal uses so they do not fall under the legislation. In the past you could buy 120v kitchen items in the Souk, but not sure about now.

Some folk have been given old info, told the house is 110 but on arrival the house is now 220.
