Hi all
We are British and wondering how easy it would be / or if it is allowable to have family to stay in the compound? For example, my parents also from UK would likely want to visit. Many thanks

Immediate family can have full camp access through visitor ID and "Family" visit visa. It becomes expensive due to the necessity of Saudi embassy and visa agents.
UK citizens can however enter thru "Tourist" visa and "Visa on arrival". In this case camp access has to be done thru personal visitor access. This has to be renewed every 3 days. Downside is they will not have regular Aramco ID for their visit.

Only other thing to remember if done "officially" is that you need a signature from housing for the visitor visa - no more than 2 persons per room is allowed in camp.
The process is a little more complex now as you need to make the application online through the MOFA website, which is conveniently in Arabic. Google translate and 2 browser windows side by side, together with the instructions from the passport office will get it done in a few hours.
Typically takes a few weeks for approval to submit the passport etc in home country.

You can get your relatives in on a tourist visa (now 6 months in KSA for British passports) without need do the complexities for a formal visit visa. if you know the aramco system, you can get them 90 day ID cards that allow them access to facilities etc.
Though many don’t bother, it’s against policy and just makes it riskier getting on and off the camp if you get stopped. As others have said a 3 day visit can be done on the app easily and renewed in any case.
