Hi all, I've been researching and reading threads on this forum ......... back to 2011! Considerably the landscape in employment has considerably changed since then from 2011 with changes to women's rights (i.e driving unaccompanied) and of course COVID. I have a few questions relating to the current process I'm going through if others could contribute of their *recent* experience, at least post covid.
I had a HireVue video interview on the weekend for a secretary position and received an email two days later that I was shortlisted! Great news! However I would then be doing another interview with the hiring managers.
Can I please get some insight into the *second* video interview experience, will the questions be similar to the HireVue video? I've tried calling the recruiter to check, I've researched this forum. I'm preparing adequately by putting in hours and hours of research and having heaps of answers ready, but what could the key differences be? Context: Secretary role + I'm in Australia.
Secondly, family status - is this granted to female expats? The recruiter sent through information about the benefits for Aramaco and it includes accommodation, expenses, education tc.
But I've read in this forum that female don't get family status - this is a make or break as I'm the working adult and it'll be my male partner + two kids aged children.
Thirdly, I'm not married. Partnered of near six years but not married - will this be an issue in KSA?
Appreciate any feedback.

First, I am pretty sure not being married will be an issue. You will need to be married and provide a marriage certificate in order to claim a dependent spouse. Second, yes in recent years they have started to hire females for certain professional roles and letting them bring their married husband & children, if they have some, over as dependents.
I would treat any 2nd round interview like a first. Be prepared to give the same story about your applicable experience and qualifications. Most likely, you will get the same and new questions. No diff than a second around interview with any other company.

Thank you, if successful, as I don't want to ask these questions in the second interview. Would Aramco provide this info in their packages/offers about marriage? Is there an external website I can look at? I've been searching for over a week about family status and marriage and not having much luck Hopefully a drawn out recruitment process goes in my favour and I can get married before I go over. Cheers for the response.

Yes, agree. I would not ask those questions regarding bringing dependents or other personal questions to the hiring manager. Obtain the offer, then ask recruiting & HR about bringing dependents.
I suspect not all expat hired females are allowed to bring legal dependents. Prob only certain professional job les and grade codes are allowed. I’m afraid secretarial roles may not fall in that bucket but that’s a question for the recruiter after obtaining the conditional offer to know for sure.

Thank you! If I come over on single bachelor status that means I won’t be able to get them over at all hey and the kids can’t go to the school, nor would I get family accommodation?

That is correct, you have to be on family status in order bring a spouse or children and live on an Aramco compound. Hey there is Secretaries new hire thread (it's on page two of "New Hires and Jobs..). The original posting is very old but there are some recent postings on the thread. I would jump over there and post your question to see if any knows if recently hired secretaries have been allowed to bring dependents?

Well after a week of preparing for the second interview, Aramco had technical difficulties with the HireVue system :/ So now waiting to it to be rescheduled I guess...
