Hi - Had an interview last month and a couple weeks later, received email from HR confirming that i was successful in my interview along with onboarding details/portal access. Background investigator reached out for some follow up questions in regards to the documents i submitted. Since then, i have not heard anything. How long does the BI process typically take?
Thanks!

Depends - could take longer if you have degrees from non-western countries and/or less well known universities, difficulty in verifying former employment could also delay. If everything is easily verifiable, I would say no more than one to two weeks.

Background checks may not take long, but things in Saudi move slowly. It took almost 5 months for me from verbal offer to coming to Saudi…

My husband took a month, his U.K. university had merged and changed names,, companies and their HR had merged, bosses moved on. He did have to contact them in the end to give new/personal emails for some. The whole process is about 6 months, so not unusual for this bit to be slow.
