Does anyone have any recommendations for shipping options for furniture and such to Dhahran from Houston?
Also, if anyone has experience on how much it cost them, that would be greatly appreciated!

The best advice is don't. Take cash in lieu of and buy furniture in kingdom. Sell it before you leave and take cash in lieu on your return.

Do employees utilize any type of social media or similar platform to advertise their items for sale? Will be arriving soon and was curious if there is a way to get connected with others on the ground in advance to start potentially making some arrangements.

There use to be an Aramco classified website that only SA employees had access to. Used for buying & selling everything from toasters to autos. I assume it still exists.

Yes as below the Aramco Classifieds still exists, people post on them from all camps. There are camp specific Facebook pages too.
