So I came before my family but was put straight into my family housing (which was lucky talking to other expats).
The bachelor transient housing is generally a small studio in a block of flats with a bedroom, kitchen, living area and bathroom.
My starter pack had the likes of tea, coffee, sugar, bread, er, biscuits, milk, salt, pasta.
The house came with knife set, 4 plate set, kettle.
It was enough of the basics to see me through. As I was straight into my family housing it did come with the basic aramco issued furniture, which I used whilst I got set up with my own.

I was the same, straight into a family house- all be it with lots of teething issues, Iāve mentioned in other posts.
Thereās a very basic set of cutlery, some plates, bowls etc and a āsurvival kitāwith white bread, plastic cheese and instant coffee. You get a few bath towels and sheets, quilts, some very basic soaps and shampoo.
Aramco furniture leaves a lot to be desired, youāll be getting rid of it as soon as practical. Ditto the 1950s top-loading washer they provide, which just ties your clothes into knots.

Yeah same here . Placed directly into family house. Apparently , they are running short on washer / dryer these days, so most of the guys started with me donāt have it. However, they are providing 4 months of free laundary servic as a compensation.

TBH if you are happy for the Aramco supplied top-load washer to chew up your clothes - go for it.
Otherwise spend some of that moving in allowance your own washer and dryer.
