Firstly, thanks for the gem of information available on this forum about all aspects of Aramco.
A little bit background I'm a senior management professional working in a leading financial organization in UAE and have been recently interviewed by Aramco for a finance position based in Dhahran. As part of the process, I was asked to fill up a form with a lot of details including all the previous roles and compensation. Albeit reluctantly, I filled up my current compensation but only to the extent of the cash received in the bank (basic).
However, my current compensation is allowance based structure including generous housing (no cash), education (I don't use it currently), phone etc. and the total compensation will come to about 40-45% higher then the cash component plus an ~40% annual bonus. I have recently been informed that I have been shortlisted and will be proceeding with the further process. given the information that I have read on this forum, I have a couple of queries:
1. I understand housing is provided by Aramco on its campus but what constiutes a bachelor accommodation? For reference I currently rent 2 bhk in UAE in a very prime location (housing provided by Firm).
2. Does Aramco starts negotiate the usual formula (base pay + 60% ) on my cash component. My point being is that my housing is almost about 35% of my base pay which essentially makes me immune to all the real estate price fluctuations in UAE (as is the case recently). I would ideally not want to lowball myself just because housing is provided by Aramco in its campus (and charged)
3. Being a business facing role in Finance industry, I receive almost about 40% of my annual compensation as bonus and I have not mentioned this in the form of a number in my form (being a variable component). I understand Aramco's bonus program is rather much smaller and therefore this also needs to be considered in negotiation ideally. Does Aramco considers your bonus in the negotiation process?
4. Given the year of time, does Aramco has a policy of compensating for the foregone bonus?
5. How does Aramco education allowance looks like? Being a Bachelor, I don't currently use it but nevertheless it is a part of my overall package.
Finally, Appreciate if you can provide input on how much uptick would you expect to move from UAE to Saudi? I understand it depends on personal circumstances, but trying to put a range to the number.
Sorry for long post and thanks.
