Worked out at about $9K a month uplift on base after running the sums. The bonus element is less than what I was getting, but almost evens out with the tax difference, the repat adds another $10k or so. So in my head… i am thinking $270k base is like $16k/month take home so you are getting $9k more take home. 56% increase in taking home… As you said not crazy high uplift but still very significant increase in take home In my home country I was paying ~37% income tax on the 270K, obviously this is zero in Saudi. That’s the main saving, the salary and package overall is net just a bit more than what I was on. Obviously if coming from US that tax saving won’t be anywhere near as large. Hope that helps!

Basically, same rates I’ll use to determine the financial benefit of going, if I receive an offer. Had interview a couple weeks ago. Just waiting on results.

I’d recommend you factor in at least 20% higher living costs here, budget for a car and double the amount for furnishing your place as the allowance won’t cover it. Also don’t forget the stealth taxes (exit visas, dependent fees etc that you must pay). Factor in that you won’t get any bonus here until march 2024, ditto expect little movement on pay rises.. and zero progression (but that’s a given). You probably want at least a 50% uplift to make it all worthwhile IMO.

I think the role I was recruited for (by an external headhunter) is a GC14 as it's a internal consultant with no direct reports. My current base is $175k USD and an annual bonus of 20%. I've been waiting 2+ months since my interview in Houston. They gave positive feedback. I think my compensation is too high for the role and hoping they can make it work out so that I have a decent uplift. We shall see. But waiting with radio silence is no fun. I emailed my Aramco HR contact and even called... but no replies and no answer on phone.

Not 2 months yet but I guess there are many people where the offer did take more than 2 months to appear

It's summer time and most people are out for vacation.
