I am in the interview process for an HQ job and I just noticed that Aramco has posted another position in a different department whose description looks like it was written with me in mind.
My question is: should I apply for the second position now, or wait until I get a definitive answer on the first one? Would applying for the second position now damage my chances with the first? I am inclined to wait, but wanted to hear other opinions.

In general, Aramco would encoue candidates to apply for multiple positions. I sensed this during a job fair and the recruiter said that no problem at all with many applications. She actually pushed 3 of my applications to the hiring group for review. I believe the only time you wouldn’t want to apply to another position is after you receive and accept an offer for a specific job.

Thanks. I'm probably going to speak with my recruiter next week and sound him out.

My recruiter said that if I wanted to apply, I should feel welcome to do so.

Well, I just checked my profile and it seems I have been selected for a HireVue interview for the second position, so we shall see.

Congratulations barnej1 on getting interview invite for the job....Good luck in your interview.. General question...On Aramco page, are the job postings displayed as per posting dates or are they displayed arbitrarily? Basically, are recent jobs on page 1 and the oldest postings displayed on last page? Also, does the Job IDs give an indication of when the job was posted? Anyone? Thanks

Brother, Machine learning is used in such a posting, for example they have specific number of CV to base on experience to select from them a number for further screening, and for those who are selected for screening if not shortlisted for interviews and for those selected for interviews and not good matching and for those who still in waiting list to run other interviews, thus when every number of those in any process is not as per the threshold, then the assigned recruiter is notified by the machine learning data& ytics capabilities and as a result it's reposted.
This info isn't for Aramco, is in general common sense. however i am pretty sure that it's applied to Aramco.

Thanks @adelelnagdi for your response but I guess you probably missed the intent of my question..Let me rephrase..
1) If a job ID is 1800 and another Job ID is 700....Can one assume that Job ID 700 was posted earlier than Job 1800? Or are these IDs simply internal identification systems by different departments?
2) Currently there are about 13 pages on the job postings (for Americas). Is it ok to assume that jobs on page 1 are recent postings while those on Page 13 are old postings? Sounds simple. And should normally be that way but I'd just want to confirm since the job postings dont have posting dates.
Thanks

Hey Canadianman,
In terms of job posting dates, yes is not posted on the platform regardless of the covered geography,
However, there is a trick on success factors servers so you can trace which posting original date so you can trace if 1800 for example is posted longtime before and reposted for interna, purposes or it's newly posted, i believe this is the core of your question
For that tricky i got it by chance and not every time applied for me as it is pertaining to a kind of internet slow speed so i can't advise how can you find it out,
Back to if two posting ae posted, then my point after a careful deep understanding of Armco business model, if the ID number is different and the job posting le is different even though the JD is exactly the same, so i believe it's posted by different business function
This point is only based on personal intuition not a confirmed shared point.
Last one, Aramco machine learning has the power to trace old candidates' history in terms of how long they submit their resume and what interviews conducted so this takes to the concept of biased recruitment decisions.
I never faced such a point, but i bet it's 100 percent correct for dozen of facts.
All the best for you so do others candidates

I have seen roles I applied to on the first page at a certain time, and the next time I am checking, its on the last page. Why don't Aramco put job posting and closing dates on their websites tho? The jobs that are posted on their career site have been there for more than 4 months. Aren't those roles getting filled?

Thanks framaikc...I think you clearly understand the issue..The way they post their jobs makes it difficult to know what new jobs are being posted and if/when they stopped accepting resumes for a particular posting...The recruiter that contacted me told me that the job posting will be on their website until the chosen candidate lands in Saudi Arabia...So it is possibly that some jobs you see online have actually been closed, candidate selected and job offer made...So the posting will be there for months...and folks will still be applying not knowing that a candidate has been selected..Does not make it easy for applicants but I guess it must serve the purpose for Aramco for them to keep it this way..

Guys
on Aramco.jobs
there is from time to time held online seminars that allow to have one to one chat with one to one Aramco recruiters,
so my advice keep watching it out and register for such chances and do inquire about job status and any relevant.

Yes the same was informed to me by my recruiter as I was given oral confirmation that I will receive offer ( In feb) and didn’t receive formal offer for over 2 months ( till April) and then I saw same post being available on the job portal I thought they won’t be making me an offer hence reposted the position but on asking my recruiter said the position will be kept open until I land in KSA and apparently I received formal offer after around a week. 😊
