Hi Everyone,
I am based in UK and I have received a verbal offer from Aramco. I am waiting for the written offer to come through. My question is about employment verification which is done at the BI stage. How far back in time the employment verification is done? I worked for a company in 2006-07 and they do not operate now. I don't have any payslips or contract letter from this company. Is that an issue?

Shouldn't be an issue. So long as you haven't told any lies on your application and dont have any hidden convictions, dodgy reasons for leaving a company - fraud or bank robbery all should be ok.
Ultimately you have applied to what is the State oil Company of Saudi Arabia - they want to be sure you are who and what you say you are.

The vast majority of companies I have worked for no longer exist, either having gone out of business or having been bought out. I did the best I could with contact information and it wasn't a problem.

Usually a week to two weeks I estimate, once it is initiated. Most BIs include criminal record, credit checks and employment & education verifications. No one will talk to your former managers. Most BIs use a online system or a central HR number to verify employment dates & job le. That’s all most companies will share.
