I have been told by a recruiter that I am on a candidate interview list for an HQ position. SA reached out to me after seeing my resume and thought I'd be a good fit. My question is this: I am slightly over 60 years of age. Is this an absolute bar to being hired, or do I have a chance? Thanks.

60 is the official "retirement" age in Kingdom.
For certain roles and positions they will allow employment to continue for a few years, but that is I guess very much on a case by case basis.

Thanks. That's pretty much what I've heard. Any policy can be overridden if it's approved at a high enough level.

My understanding is extensions for employment past 60 is granted on a yearly basis. I know several aramcons that have worked past 60 based on extensions, but they are never guaranteed.

I've spoken to Aramcons who say they know people in their 70's who are still working at Aramco. (Though I'm sure that's pretty rare.)
