Shipping costs are astronomical, so it makes sense they have gone cash in lieu. Other than clothing and some hard to find sporting good items, you can find what you need in kingdom. Doesn't make sense to ship furniture. Check extra luggage in on your flight over, I had 10 boxes as I recall, and you'll still have a fair bit of money left over to purchase items needed in kingdom.

Hi, I am from Calgary and moving to Dharan next month. My family will join me once I got all documentation done in Dharan (~1-2month).
My question is - Does Aramco offers the travel allowance instead of travel itinerary for the family only(not the principal candidate) to make their first arrival in Dharan? As I want to keep their travel booking in my hand to make some stopovers of our own wish.

I am coming with family and we quite a lot of stuff to bring.
If I bring, let's say, 10+ boxes with me, how will I be able to take them with me to Dhahran? I know that there is someone to greet us, but what type of vehicle will they have to accommodate all the luggage we have?
