You will get a house in the Dhahran residential compound. 3 bedrooms. All expats get a house in the compound now, regardless of where you are. There are a lot of houses available. You won’t be able to chose. You will be allocated your first house. Best of luck.

I have interviewed for Downstream Finance. I have not heard about any next steps or the second interview. How about you? Where are you in in Canada? Which department did you apply for? Hi Canind, I am from Alberta. I was interviewed for a position in IT and still waiting to hear about next steps.

Thanks for sharing. Best of luck ! If you don't mind, could you please share your timeline start from application to visa as well. Many thanks. I am one of those that was caught in the COVID hiring freeze / slowdown, so my timeline is not representative of a "typical" one. Overall it took me well over a year. Going through the process I realized that there is probably not such thing as "typical". It is both Aramco side - but also personal circumstances dependent. If there is one good piece of advice: Stay in close contact with the HR person supporting you, try not to be aggressive, try and resolve issues yourself. Good luck again.

Greetings from Canada, I have recently received an offer to join Saudi Aramco in Dhahran. My position is at GC 13 and I'm thinking I will bring 3 dependents with me (wife + 2 kids). I haven't responded to the offer yet, we have a lot of responsibilities here that would be difficult to manage. Could anyone on this forum aid me on what kind of housing I would receive? Are there homes available in Dhahran currently? I've read some posts from a few years back saying there is limited or no space in Dhahran but I'm not sure if this is still the case. Thanks! Plenty of subsidized within DH camp.

Thanks,
StarboyX I had a question for you. In one of your previous posts I noticed you incorporated yourself to keep your house in Ontario. I have been calling CRA and some foreign tax advisors who 1) didn't recommend me to incorporate, 2) suggest that the best way to be considered a non-resident of Canada is to either sell the house or rent it at arms length. We were kind of hoping to have family live in our house for a nominal fee. Do you know of anyone who could help us with this?

Hi Pbody Congratulations on getting the job with Aramco. I am also from Canada and just recently had an interview completed. I am now waiting for the interview results. Do you mind sharing the following - if you were requested to provide current salary slips? - was your salary package modelled on the existing formula.( current salary + Overbase + more.. - What relocation benefits offered to you from Canada? - Are you offered residence on the compound with schooling? Thanks for the help. Hi Ku, Thanks for the congrats I hope you get an offer. - For me they only requested my current gross salary with no evidence whatsoever (just a questionnaire "what is your current gross annual salary"). I didn't lie to them but I thought it was weird. Their offer was completely based off this number I gave them. - Their salary package was modeled on that existing formula, but I negotiated for an increased base salary considering my wife would be giving up her job (and our nice pensions *sob*) - no idea about relocation benefits, I haven't been assigned a relocation agent yet. - as I understand it I will be offered a 3 bedroom house as others on this thread have mentioned, but there is nothing on paper yet.

Hi Ku - How are you doing? Did you hear any feedback from Aramco post your interview?

Also, in your offer what sort of conversion rate did they use between USD to CAD? Thanks

Hi,
I am from Canada and got interviewed with Aramco last week. I would like to know how much time do they take to let you know that you are a successful Candidate? The reason I am asking is that I have already got an offer to work with Adnoc indirectly through PMT but would like to join Aramco if they go ahead with me.
Please let me know if someone has an idea about timelines. Thanks.

You can search under timeline and will get an idea. It’s not a quick process to say the least. And a verbal offer which on avee can take 1-2 months from interview date then follows with a written offer after another month on avee and then the contingencies can take an avee of 3-5 months (background checks, medical, police report, visa)
