Morning My husband and I both applied for jobs in our fields, engineering and teaching back in January. We both applied for 3 different roles, neither of us have heard “boo” and online the status remains at “application received”... typically how long have people waited to hear from applying? We are both well qualified and suited so I’m surprised we haven’t heard anything. Starting to wonder that maybe they’re not interested at all? The Aramco Services number in Houston just rings out.. :/

Hi Kualmeida
It could be a long time from application to hearing anything - even in normal circumstances...
It may well be the case that people are rather more occupied with other things at present and may have been at the stage of getting back to you when everything went rather haywire across the world.
Patience is the name of the game and clearly we are all having to show rather a large amount of that at present. Hope you are both managing to stay well and that you hear something soon after everything starts to get back to normal.

Hi kualmeida, did you finally get the position you both applied for? I applied through the Aramco website and the application status says “Applied” with the following message below “We have received your application! Thank you so much for considering us. You should expect to hear from us soon” I applied on December 11th and believe this message “You should expect to hear from us soon” does not mean they will reach me out for the position. The funniest thing is that last week a Headhunter from UK (and from one of the biggest HR companies in the world) reached me out for the same position I applied through the Aramco site telling me I have the skills needed for the role. Afterwards, we had a conversation and he said he would share my profile with the Aramco team, however when I mentioned that I applied through the Aramco system he answered me he would not be able to represent me and from now on is it Aramcos hands or not to progress with the application. I want to kill myself hahaha because I have been looking to work for Aramco since I joined this Industry. Did somebody experience the same situation??

Hi, it will take a while for the HR department to come back to you after your application. As you can imagine there are many people applying for the positions and only the selected few move forward to the interview. The recruiting process with Aramco is a very long process and you need lots of patience. Wish you the best of luck and I hope you get your interview soon.

My Timline;
22 March 2021: Online application submitted. 19 April 2021: Contacted by Aramco UK office and video interview arranged. 26 April 2021: 1st Interview on HireVue
Overall interview went well, but haven't received any feedback yet. London office say it may take upto three weeks for further update.
I have also checked the status of my submitted applications (total 5) on BrassRing (Aramco applicant tracking system ATS) and status of this particular application shows that 3 stages have been completed out of 5.
ANYONE IN SAME SITUATION? Or any similar experiences

Greetings, expats!
tl;dr March 5 2021: e-mailed Saudi Aramco recruiter at Houston March 9 2021: phone call with recruiter March 26 2021: e-mail from recruiter stating they would like to interview me April 22 2021: formal request for an interview on HireVue May 5 2021: HireVue interview (~1 hour) (update) May 24 2021: phone call from Houston recruiter saying they will be making an offer.
This is my first post, and it's nice to see the diverse backgrounds of people on this forum. I'm from Canada. My experience might be a little different from most. I have a PhD in a very specific field that the Carbon Management R&D department were looking for. A recruiter from Houston e-mailed my old PhD advisor with the job posting, who forwarded the job to me.
On March 5th I e-mailed the recruiter with my academic CV (like a normal CV but longer - it lists all your publications and academic accomplishments) and on March 9th we had a phone conversation to discuss the application process. In a follow up e-mail I answered a series of job-related questions that she used to prepare a cover letter on my behalf (!)
I received an informal e-mail on March 26th stating they would like to interview me for the position. Fast forward a month to the 22nd of April and I was contacted to organize an interview on HireVue for May 5th. We completed the interview last week, it was roughly an hour and was a very pleasant conversation. I left feeling quite confident about my chances, but I will likely have to wait a while before hearing back, based on the experiences others have had.
(update): I have been notified from the recruiter that I will be receiving a job offer. The recruiter asked me what sort of salary I would expect, and other related questions. This was so Aramco could prepare an offer that took into account my responses.

three months to receive an offer ? Yes. Slightly more maybe 3 months and a couple of weeks. What I suggest is to keep communicating with your recruiter. He would be able to give some info from time to time. Please consider also that there was the month of Ramadan that just passed. Things tend to slow down during this month.

Hi Mo,
Aramco as most of the companies are using SAP to do the internal approval. So once the offer is done, the status will be visible in the SAP system. This is for Petroleum Engineering department. I was hired from Europe.
Regards.
