STC's 5G Mobile and Internet networks are active in the Dammam/Dhahran/Khobar area.
There are limited devices and routers that STC has to offer at the moment.
Given upcoming sales and holiday seasons, if you're shopping around for a new device or router, and plan to use 5G, ensure your device or router is 5G compliant.
If you are a new hire and /or expecting visitors, ensure devices are unlocked before travelling so you can swap out SIM cards.
Also, new hires (until they receive Iqama) and all visitors, can only take out 1 pre-paid mobile SIM card, without any monthly plans.
You CANNOT take out a data SIM card or subscribe to montly pre-paid plans, or even go post-paid, unless you have Iqama.
In other words, unless you subscribe to one of the text message packages during activation, you will blow thru data.
Also, once you get Iqama, go back with details to STC or your provider, otherwise your line will get activated.
