I am planning to move to Saudi Arabia within the next 3 months for a one year temporary work so I decide to not bring my furniture since family will stay in the US however I am looking into the rules and regulation for bringing my car. I have a VERY rare color Porsche 911 . its little bit old but gorgeous and runs GREAT! The idea f driving it in desertic area in Saudi is super exciting. I have done some investigation as far as what are the rules and regulation but according to teh link below cars more than 7 years old are not allowed into Saudi Arabia: usgshipping.com/asia/shipping-to-middle-east/shipping-to-saudi-arabia-from-usaWell, I am not planning to stay in Saudi more than a year but my car is 1993 so it is more than 7 years old so is there a expectation for expat who are there for bringing their car ? Shall I take the risk to have it shipped? I found prices like $1200 so not too expensive . Has anyone shipped his car to Saudi before? Would you guys know any customs broker in Saudi who is fully aware of all teh rules and regulation.

Leave it at home! Cars are not treated with respect in KSA, and I've seen far to many horrific crashes. The cooling system is probably not up to specification. Added to its age, I'd say it's not worth the hassle.
