We expect to be housed at the Dhahran camp. Our family enjoys bike riding. Is there much of an opportunity for that at the camp? Trying to think if we should ship our bikes.
I am also wondering if we should ship our large hitch bike rack (??)

Roads in camp should be ok to cycle. Roads outside of camp less so - although I know a group that go out 5-7am on a Friday.
Personally, I'd ship them. Saudi isnt a great cycling nation, and although reasonable bikes are available (esp in Bahrain) the cyclists I know bring in bikes and parts from home.

I've got my road bike boxed up ready to go. I'm looking forward to putting some mileage on it, something I haven't done in years.

If I were you, I would deliver my bikes and enjoy a wonderful two-wheeled vacation. It's great to be out in nature and to be able to feel the wind in your hair while riding your bike up small hills and where the road isn't there yet. I would give anything right now for that kind of recreation, for that freedom. If you do mail order, I would suggest using the china package tracking because it is the most reliable tool in this regard. I use it all the time, and all my packages came on time
