Thanks everyone for your advice. I have now received my offer and further joining instructions. many congratulations!! that must be a relief. when is ur joining date or is there background checks first? Hey mate, Thanks for the wishes. Yeah it was a hugeeeee relief. As per my consultant the joining is in between 15th to 25th December. Somewhere around Christmas. Meantime I have to complete tons of forms, prepare my relocation stuff, undergo medical and wait for the background checks to be completed. Btw do you have any idea what an employee background check is? Because 2 of the companies I worked for in the start of my career like 6 years back have now either closed or being taken over by some other corporations. Not sure whether there is anyone there who can reply to aramco. So do let me know about the background verification.

You are coming to work for Saudi Aramco. One of the largest companies in the world and the main revenue stream for Saudi Arabia.
In effect, your employer is the Saudi Government in all but name - they want to be sure you are who your say you are and that there are no skeletons in the closet. Provided you have been 100% truthful in your application and you are not a criminal there should be nothing to worry about.

I think if you have references from the previous companies or paystubs or any record of employment proving that you have worked in those companies, it shud be good. background checks are extensive but at the same time, they are supportive as well

Team,
I got interviewed for the rotating equipment engineer position in Mumbai( India) in Feb 2019 thru JERRYVERGHESE job consultant, I got selected and even discussed the details of my location( saudi aramco hawiyah gas plant) offer with the HR available, we are in the mid of May and until now i have not heard anything about my offer, is this scenario normal?
A response would be highly appreciated or if someone can give the contact of the HR for the saudi.
Regards
A Gas turbine maintenance engineer

Yeah, it takes time for them to release the offer and have patience during this time.
