Hi, I am awaiting an offer since April 2018. Has anyone else come across a similar delay on conditional offer? What are you hearing from Aramco services can we expect an offer? Secondly, has anyone come across a visa delay due to diplomatic spat between Canada and KSA? My family and I are anxiously waiting. thanks You should contact ASC Houston directly regarding this matter.

However, I had business visa previously and applied for permanent visa Aug 10th 2018 and got my passport back on 13th Aug. 2018

BI can take 1 to 3 months, depends how deep they go into it and where they have to verify information. For example, if you've studied or worked internationally, they will verify, and this can take time. Similarly, if you were married/divorced in a foreign country, this will need to be verified, the latter only to ensure there are no pending court cases or amounts owed, ie. child support / alimony. Also, if applicants have any pending court cases, anywhere in the world, this will have to be explained. In addition to all of this, there is the standard criminal and credit check, along with the medical.

That's fine...I had my degree verification and attestation before the offer. It helped to speed up the departure process. However they are clear that there is no guarantee that an offer will be made.

That's right, to speed things up, in some cases, I guess they change the order of processing. If anything, that'a good indication that an offer is coming soon.
