Hi everyone, I received and accepted an offer from Aramco more than 4 months ago and the relocation advisor have been waiting for the degree attestation from the Saudi Cultural Bureau in London for over 4 months! Is this normal? Has anyone faced similar delays in the UK?
Yesterday, I received an email from the relocation advisor asking me to contact the university and ask them to send an email to the Cultural Bureau to confirm that the degree was taught face to face, full time and in the UK. I have asked the university to do so but it’s out of my control.
Any info or suggestions would be much appreciated

Sorry to say that I haven't had that experience. Completely the opposite in fact. My degree was attested within a week or so. I did a full time degree in the UK (all face to face) with a redbrick. Perhaps it takes a bit longer if you did your degree with a slightly less well known University but 4 months does seem excessive. Perhaps something went missing for some time and no one followed up? Could well also be that some delays that you experienced were due to Ramadan/Eid.

Hi Trebbie, thanks for your response. My degree is from one of the top 5 universities in the UK and all face to face traditional degree so not sure why it is taking this long. I now understand that it was only submitted to the cultural mission two months ago but still, it is a very long time. I heard today that some info is missing and they need the university to confirm that the degree was face to face and based in the UK. I have just asked the university to confirm this so fingers crossed!

Best of luck with it - hope it all works out in the end. All good things come to those that wait (and perhaps the waiting will make it sweeter)!
