o everyone,
starting June, I have been informed that I am going to join Aramco in the R&D center (Dahran) and that my offers is almost ready to be sent.
At the same time, I have been asked to submit my certificates and salary slips of my current job. However, I am still waiting for the offer to be sent and two weeks ago, I have asked about any updates and my advisor answered that due to SAP approval process, the hiring process takes a while to go through the system. Does anyone know what "SAP approval process" is?
In fact, I would really like to have something official in hand so my family and i can start the preparation for our relocation etc.... Do you think that I need to contact my advisor again. It is almost 1 month since Ramadan and Eid were over! If the "pre-offer phase" is taking so much time, I wonder how long the relocation phase would take.
Many thank!

[b Yes, be patient. All approvals take time. You'll seen realize there's a process for a process. Things take time, the key to survival here is patience and acceptance.

Thank you very much for the reply I am trying to be patient. I have been just wondering if it is normal to have a long waiting time prior getting the offer.
The thing that I have been informed that I am receiving my offer in 2 days (1 week after Ramadan) and now it is one month....

My aramco recruiter set the expectation really low by giving me a three month time frame to expect an offer. However, I got the offer in a month and a half after that which came as a surprise.

thanks all for the replies.
However, is it possible that Saudi Aramco will simply decline my application at this phase ?
Does anyone heard or experienced such a case?

If you're recruiter is telling you an offer is being put together or waiting approval, then it's just a matter of time. Yes, it possible for offers to be rescinded. However, the time, effort, resources and of course money, would go to waste, so highly unlikely.

I applied June 2016, arrived March 2017 : 5 months for offer, 3 months for BI. Patience is key.

o, If you don't mind me asking is this for an engineering job position? I am asking because my husband was also interviewed by Houston for an Engineering position for the R&D dept end of April. But we did not receive any update. Thanks!

SAP is a computer based management system. For many processes there is a hierarchy of approval where it has to be approved by Supervisor, Unit Head, Superintendent, Division head.........
Each one, one after another as it goes up the managerial tree has to approve the hiring. If someone is on vacation with no-one to tick their approval then it can take 2 weeks to skip to the next signature.
It will happen, eventually. Some things just take time in this company.
