I am hired by EPC / Engineering Consulting to be seconded on Aramco project. Having said that i am NOT Aramco Direct Hire.
Please advise if will be enled to live in Aramco compound. Even if i am willing to pay the rent from my pocket i can get accommodation in Aramco compound? If yes how much will be the rent?
What will be options in my case to find accommodation for myself and my family? I will also need to find private schooling? Is there any Canadian curriculum school? Please reply, appreciate. Thanks.

It is doubtful that Aramco would offer you compound accomodation - why would they as you are working for an EPC. It is even at the stage at present that new hires in some areas are being told they have to take accomodation off camp due to lack of available accomodation. Talk to your employer about what they are offering. A good compound in Khobar / Dammam is extremely expensive, but apartments in the local community will be less so. Not great for your family if coming from a western environment. There are posts around the forum from an few years ago about compounds, contacts and maybe even prices. Schooling wise you have US curriculum (Dhahran High School) or UK based (BISAK or British Grammar). You may be able to get IB exams from those schools. |

Only I know of recent posters on here for Ras Tanura who were told they *may* have to live off camp for a time.
As to other areas - I have no idea. Rental assistance represents a huge cost to Aramco and is not normally available unless there is no Aramco accomodation.
