I hope someone can help me.
I'm due to come over to Dhahran on the 12th August and am trying to decide what to bring with me. I asked my Relocation Advisor how much luggage I should account for as I obviously cannot come home for the first six months. She said I have to wait until they pick a flight operator then it is standard luggage that gets issued to all holiday makers!! That surely wont be enough will it?? Is it worth shipping stuff over in the first instance or should I wait to see how the six months goes then when I can come home for a visit organise the shipping then?
It says the apartments are fully furnished but may not include a kettle, no iron, no microwave (although I rarely use mine!), no TV and only a single bed! Is this true?? If so shall I pack my TV in my suitcase??? Are the apartments air conditioned?
Also someone mentioned bringing a hoover??!!!!! I mean that won't fit in will it! If someone could provide me with any details of what to bring first I'd really appreciate it!
I know I can buy a pay as you go Sim card at the airport, will the Aramco collection person be able to help me with this?
Also how long do I have to settle in before I have to start work? As you can probably tell I'm an over anxious person and am having a real fear that I will be plonked into a tiny living space and then left to deal with it and I'm scared I may end up rocking in a corner!! Ha ha!!!
