Hi everyone,
My husband arrived in the Dhahran camp last week from Canada. And as he had only taken his personal items and basic necessities with him, he ventured out to buy random house hold items.
Well he experienced some major sticker shock in terms of prices for basic cleaning supplies and household items.
So here I am looking for some advice: are items really this pricy only on camp and at the mall? Are there other easily accessible local shops (comparable to dollar stores or Walmart??) that anyone can recommend?
I grew up in Jeddah a long time ago and I remember we had 5/10 riyal stores (kinda like North American dollar stores) and local chains of departmental stores as well. Where are such stores located close to Dhahran camp?
