Hi All,
I live in the US (non-citizen) and was interviewed for IT Security (SAP) position on April 5, 2018. The interview went very well and about 2 hrs. I really expect the interview outcome to be positive based on the discussions we had.
I also was able to contact the HR a week later for the update but he did not had any update from Saudi as they were still interviewing other candidates. Thats' it, since then i have tried calling the HR almost every other day for an update but he would never answer my call or respond back. I do understand from the previous threads that the HR won't answer unless they have any update from Saudi. However, i would least expect from a big organization like Aramco to respond me back regardless of an update.
What do you guys think about this situation. Any suggestions are highly appreciated. And, the only contact i have is HR's contact number, is there any other way to contact HR?

I need to be honest, calling the recruiter daily at ASC will be taken as both annoying and desperate, so wait for a few weeks, or even a month, until you reach out again. Secondly, with Ramadan around the corner, things will grind to a halt, so be patient. Realistically, reach out towards the end of June for an update.
Yes, Aramco is large, however, ASC waits on feedback from here, and that can take time. A lot of time ...

Thank you Starboy. Appreciate your response. I will not call them anymore until end of june may be. I agree, that it could annoy them.

The other angle is this, in most cases, you may not hear back from recruiters for quite some time b/c they don't have an update. That being said, once there is an update, things tend to happen in spurts, as in, a lot of info will come in at once, then there will be pauses again. This is part of the process; just be patient and hang in there!

Got it. Thank you again ! Another question is, i am from Electronics Engineering background however, worked in IT here in USA. The position in aramco is in IT as well, do they check and possibly deny if my course of degree doesn't exactly match to the position? Or does the experience in related field (IT) counts and shall be accepted?

Education and experience are both factors, and you'll have to ask your recruiter directly.

It’s been over a year since I was told to expect an offer. I spoke with my recruiter a few days ago, and I was told that I’m still being considered for the position. Is this normal?

I would say move on from this one and apply again.

@ Countryoilman, is this for a position with Unconventional Completion and Production Engineering Department?

Yes, this is normal, however, keep other options open. Remember, sometimes offers can be rescinded for issues such as failing the BI or even medical. Also, positions not filled can also be reposted as another requisition the following year. Finally, until the candidate has arrived at work, the positions remain posted online.

The position was for Saudi Aramco’s Northern Area Oil Operations organization for a Liaisonman/Drilling & Workover. I had a face to face and I did a video conference. I don’t get it. But like it’s been posted, I’m possibly just gonna give up and move on.

Hi quick update on my status;
It's been a year when they first interviewed me and now after 1 year they scheduled and took another round of interview 5 weeks ago from today. The interview was suppose to be a video call but due to the technical issues on their side they called me using audio conference. The HR did apologize on the call for a long (1 yr) delay but said this time they will move things quickly. The interview went great, the behavioral and technical questions were answered accurately from my side. I was very happy about my performance and so did they sound the same.
Anyways, since 5 weeks now i haven't got any update on my interview. I keep checking bi-weekly with the HR in houston and they don't seem to have any update either and mentioned that no IT roles were offered yet for all the interviews, although the HR during the interview call mentioned they would need Sr VP's blessings to move forward. I am assuming that's the reason for this delay and also Ramadan in progress. I want to wait few more weeks but i need to take other decisions based on that which is getting me in a tight situation. What advise you can give me in this situation? Thanks in advance.
