Either way, you need to hand in a copy of your passport and iqama; so it easier to scan, print, email VS copying in Midra and giving it to HR?
I called HR last week as my visa expires next week and they also said do it online; I'd still rather do it in person, in the event the email you send out, if you do it online, goes to spam or isn't checked.

So I’ve given this a try....started on 6 May...still no visa renewal....I ring HR each Sunday for an update....maybe next week now.
Process us to pay on line through your bank and Absher and send your passport and Iqama plus a visa renewal form to HR.

Easier to just cut HR out of the loop. You can renew purely through Absher alone, and pay via an ATM or online banking. They don’t need your passport (they already have all your details!), and it took 1 day for mine when I processed it about 3 weeks ago. A text message confirmed it had been done, I logged back into Absher and the new visa was listed.

I have always used Al Fifa, normally in RT. On occasion when I needed them done quickly (eg 1 visa cancelled and re-issued as a multi during Easter recess for my daughter on EAP) went through Midra.
Never a problem with either one and always completed within a few days.
