Hi all - I recently had my second interview for a role in Dharan. As I'm waiting to hear back, my wife and I continuously talk about "move" scenarios and we're trying to make sense of the monetary equation. As you know, this is a big move and any help on putting this to "pro" side will help We live in Canada with 3 kids: 8-10 years experience, house nearly paid off, ~$120k income. I expect the compensation to be as follows based on my research online: 1. Base pay ~$100k 2. Over pase $40k 3. Supplement $18k 4. Bonus $13k 5. Travel allowance $30k Total: $201k 1. Is this in USD or CAD (i.e. ~$260k CAD)? 2. Is education and housing allowance covered in the numbers above? 2a. If not, what can I expect to pay for school per child? 2b. How much is rent for a house? 3. Am I far off in my estimate above? 4. Is it common to hire a nanny - if yes, how much per month? 5. Can my parents visit me in Dharan for extended period, e.g. 4 months? 6. How worse off do recent changes to pay put me? 7. What does the relocation package look like i.e. will it move furniture, help sell cars/ home? 8. I'll miss out on considerable RSU, can I ask for a sign up bonus? 9. What GC level can I expect - I commonly read GC13-14? Any input would be great! Thanks!

Until they come back to you with a conditional offer, sit tight and here's why: it took weeks or months for your conditional offer to come thru, and policies, along with costs in KSA, could have changed by then.

1. Your salary will come in your offer. 2. There is no charge for your kids attending the Aramco schools if you are living in an Aramco compound. If living outside in the local community, there is an EAP (Education Assistance Program) that is based on your salary. The amount paid for the school will depend on the school you choose to send your kids to. Housing allowance is also salary based. This will come in your offer. Housing rent depends on where you decide to live. Rent is paid 6 months or a year at a time in advance. 3. Offer will clarify these numbers. 4. A family who has two or more kids and both parents working may sponsor a nanny, inside Aramco. Not sure what the guidelines are for those living in the local community. 5. Your parents may visit. How long will depend on how long the visitor’s visa you purchase is good for. 6. Do not know, only you can make that determination once you know your salary. 7. Relocation package will be set out in your offer. There are changes all the time, so I cannot give accurate information. 8. You can always ask. They can say yes or no. Probable answer, no. 9. Every job le has a GC assigned to it. Depends on what job you are applying for. Job les change slightly with each GC, even though the work may be the same.
