o Folks, First thing first, the link to FAQ is broken (as a new user, I went there first)
I am interesting in IT (system admin, SQL, Sharepoint, Service Eng, I am not a software developer) jobs at Aramco.
Currently I have been working for Microsoft at in Redmond, U.S.A for 12 years and thinking to explore opportunities in Aramco. Is this a good idea? Any one here in IT field would be kind enough to be a mentor? Being worked in US coporate envioronment for many years, how different is Aramco environment (Is it like any other American Corporation?) Last, is there any reality to the fact that US citizens ( European, Canada) make more than people of third world countries (or it is just myth?)
Thanks a lot

Yes, Western expats who are American, Canadian, etc, get paid more VS others, ie India: it's based on your passport.
As for IT, this is one area that has slowly been replaced with by Saudis. Yes jobs do exist for expats, ie Senior App developers or big data ytics / forensics / cyber security.

This is not your usual American company. This is a Saudi company with many differences from what you are used to. Most, to all supervisors, managers and upper management are Saudis. You will not break into a management track.
You can get raises and possible GC promotions in your position. Your salary would more than likely start at or close to what you are making in the U.S. The difference would be an increase in take home pay due to the tax break. Over the years, your salary would increase with yearly raises 3% +.
Salaries for everyone are based on the passport and country of origin.
