Got an offer around Jan. 1, got docs submitted around Jan. 15 cleared medical, waiting to hear back on BI. Trying to stay frosty, but just nervous. Don't think I have anything that would kneecap me - I've never had any criminal trouble, my credit's good, and I've left all employers on good terms.
Any idea about what percent of conditional offers fall through? I reaaaaallllly want this job.

During the BI, no news is good news.
Getting the visa can take time, as Saudi Embassies do they their own checks.
On the flip side, bring squeaky clean, even if the case, can lead the BI investigation to probe further. Remember, BI is done by former CIA and FBI, on ASC payroll from Houston. My BI lead was a 30 year FBI veteran.

I've been told that I'm waiting on a visa le. Is this a good sign? Does this mean that I'm pretty much a shoe-in, or are they getting visas for several people and will then choose among us?

Yes, there's a credit check. Having debt is fine. Being in collections, or having judgments or public records could be an issue, especially if within finance. You would need to explain your situation. Of course if you're on the hook for a couple mil, that won't look good either..
