There is a big thread with people putting in their time lines. Sometimes things move in weeks, some times things take months.
Jazan is a remote site. There is no permanent accomadation. Families I know are based in the Eastern Province (Khobar or Dammam on Rental Assistance, Dhahran if Americian or high grade) and the employee is flown out to meet the work schedule prescribed.

To start with lets define the codes. Restricted 5/2 means you will be working in a remote location which is the refinery. You will work for 5 days and go home for 2 days. While working for 5 days you will be provided a suitable accommodationclose to your work site. Everything including transportation between your worksite and accommodation will be taken care of. Your 2 days at home should be off your worksite, either in permanent accommodation IN Dhahran or as specified by the company. The accommodation will depend on family status and grade. N11 code has to do with potential to claim for ovat time or not. This you will discuss with HR representative when you resume work. I hope this help.

Normal working hours for remote areas is working from 5.30am to 6pm and this include 1 hour break. According to the work schedule you will accumulate overtime per day. That being said long hours of work does not equate hectic and stressful work.

My understanding is families don't go to jazan. Timelines... 3 to 6 months until you're on site.

BI can and will contact all current and former employers you've listed on your application. It's professional courtesy to ask and let employers know in advance. There is no time frame for the BI. No news is good news, as the saying goes.

If you accept an offer from Aramco to work in jazan on family status, you will normally initially be sent to a location in the eastern province we refer to as east park. This is effectively a staging location where you will need to arrange iqama, driving license, accommodation for your family etc. Before your family arrives.
You immediate work location will be dependent on your discipline. Some disciplines are being rushed to site asap, while others are sent to other sites to await being called up.
The jazan refinery itself is still very much under construction, but taking shape rapidly. The residential location however remains a sandbox with a minimum of 2 years expected to complete construction. You would therefore expect to commute weekly back to your family. Family can therefore be housed pretty much anywhere.
Heed warning. If the company has told you western schools in the eastern province are plentiful, this is not true at all. Spaces are extremely difficult to obtain regardless of which passport you hold, though I know of a handful of people who got lucky. Aramco will not help you arrange school placement, and as a jazan employee you don't qualify for the Aramco schools.
N11 denotes OT not eligible. This will change once you arrive. Expect to work 12 hours a day (8 + 3hrs OT). At present there is no payment for travelling, but this is changing.
You also need to know that things are in a state of constant flux at jazan. Flight times, working hours, etc. Are always changing. I know NOBODY in jazan who is receiving the offer which was originally made to them.
All this said, if your family can cope without you 5 days a week, and you're up for a challenging work and social life which might be financially rewarding, then jazan is a good place to be. But be mindful that life in Saudi is a challenge.

In that case, you need to be sure you know what you signed up to as a jazan employee...
It will be almost impossible to switch to family status.
You will be permanently housed in the jazan camp.
If your grade code is less than 10, you will likely have to share a room.
You should be granted 1 weekend a month in eastern province, which will be paid for by the company.
Your vacation allowance may be either 50 days (1 repat, 2 interim) or 38 days (1 repat, 1 interim) depending on when you signed your contract.
There is very little to do in jazan and the surrounding area. Be prepared to make new friends quickly or expect extreme levels of boredom.
Best of luck.

Greetings to everybody, I am also waiting. It was told me by email that Aramco intend to prepare and issue an offer to me. That was on 30th November and since then i had no more news. Is it normal to wait so long or i need to write the agent to know if something went wrong? Thank you in advance for any further suggestion

Yes, your should contact your recruiter via email or phone if possible and ask for an update. That being said, sometimes approvals can take this long, sometimes longer, as management could be on leave, or they could be awaiting decisions from their end. However, you should still follow up, as it's well into April now.

If you have been offered GC10 - just bear in mind that you will not have the opportunity to use any of the "Senior" camp facilities. Such as Dhahran, Ras Tanurah etc.
You will not have the opportunity to bring your wife or kids with you (now or in the future at GC10) and there is no guarentee that you will be eligible for promotion to GC11 even after 5 years.
In short, the comparasin between GC10 and GC11 is night and day in Aramco. One that you personally need to consider closely before accepting.

Job Status: Interviewing with Aramco
|
Post by Calgarian on May 22, 2018 17:25:37 GMT
o I interviewed at Aramco Houston office in March. I received word that I ought to expect an offer by end of April but have not received any communication. Has anyone received an offer after being interviewed in 2018?
