o folks,
I will join Aramco on March 2018 and even I have asked plenty of times the reloc advisor did not send me the job description. My interview in London was for one specific position but afterwards (receive of the offer, acceptance of the offer and so on) even I have asked the job description to make sure I had no response. I am afraid of being in front of possible surprises (doing something I am not prepared of or something I do like at all). According to your experience is it possible : 1. To hire someone to do finally something different than what was discussed in the interview? 2. To do something not relative to your degree ?( for instance, I am an electrical engineer, is it possible to do a general project engineering for example?) 3. In case of bad scenario, how can someone change his carrier path inside the company?

1. Always expect to do above and beyond, or different, than was outlined, for any position at any organization. 2. Experience speaks in itself. 3. Depending on your pay grade, payroll, and position, it depends: you'll know more once you're here.

I also have same situation. I was interviewed for some other position and offer received is for lower grade. I have not asked for job description, but thinking that job description would be match with grade offered. Did anyone have received lower grade offer than the position applied for?

All due respect, if you got a lower grade, it's either b/c of you previous pay slips, or you did't negotiate. As for the job description, it's pretty clear when you applied and when you were interviewed. The reason why I say is b/c a lot of les aren't reflective of the position itself; it's b/c of the visa/iqama quotas. I honestly wouldn't worry about it; your first month, you'll be settling in and getting used to Saudi. That's your goal for the 1st month: get settled. Then, you can find out once you're here, what'you're supposed to do, and again, your best and only source is your manager/supervisor.
Aramco's culture is face to face conversations; talk to manager/supervisor once you get here, grab a coffee or lunch, and ask then. Emailing advisers won't help, and it's nothing personal, it's b/c I don't believe in a position to elaborate further.
Hope this makes sense and best of luck!
