Every traffic violation on and off camp has points, depending on the fine.
If you accumulate 24 points within a 12 month period, by law, your license will be suspended for 3 months.
If you accumulate 30 points within 12 month period, you are terminated from work.
If you have 3 traffic violations, on camp, within a 12 month period, you are terminated from work.
Many people are lead to believe off camp violations have no impact at work; that is not true.
Any traffic violation, off camp, will also be applied at work, and towards your performance review.
Any traffic violation, on camp, regardless of how minor or major, is not something anyone wants, as you have to answer to management.
Now, any vehicle with the Aramco sticker off camp that is being driving dangerously, or parked dangerously, etc; can have their picture anonymously sent in for an investigation.
In other words, don't take up two stalls at the mall or drive on the hard shoulder or tail gate or flash or race/drift; you can be reported off camp.
Reports are sent out by unit/dept, your violation, on camp, brings your unit/dept down, and in turn, makes your division head/director accountable.
However, off camp violations, don't bring your unit/dept down, but are still tallied by work.
Accidents:
Any accident, anywhere in Saudi, on or off camp, with your personal vehicle:
1. Ensure everyone is safe, get out of the cars, and turn them off.
2. Call emergency services/security, take pictures/videos, as required.
3. Do NOT move vehicles, even if it's during rush hour on a busy highway: leave it there, and move to the side.
4. Wait for authorities to arrive.
5. If it's not your fault, ensure you sign off and leave with the 0% liability form.
6. Follow instructions as provided.
