So with the new RAA, cash is a little strapped for compounds. 70KSAR approx for me.
Can anybody message me and let me know what is currently available in Khobar? I am guessing its gunna be an apartment not a villa with this budget but that is fine

Feel free to approach any compound with what Aramco is offering you. Tell them that is what you have and who knows they may accept it. With the level of recruitment having dropped most villas are empty. If they are smart they'd lease for what they are collecting now instead of keeping empty villas which cannot maintain themselves. The compounds were charging high rent because they knew what Aramco was paying and also because demand outstripped supply then but the reverse is the case now.

You can see a list of compounds with contact information under the discussion group: Living in the Local Community and at the top of this discussion group.

Are you coming by yourself, with spouse, or with family? Many Aramcons live in Gulf Homes Compound, in Dammam.
It's less than 10 minutes from main camp.
They have a selection of studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 3 bedroom apartments.
A studio goes for 28,000 and 1 bedroom for 50,000. Utilities are just 100/month and you need to provide your own internet. All units are semi or fully furnished and only studios don't come with a parking spot (that's 1000 extra/month to park inside.)
We have a coed gym, coed pool, coed restaurant, and a small convenience store.
I've been here since May as a bunch of us moved out from Munirah to Gulf Homes at the same time, and all in all, we're all quite happy here.

StarboyX! Thanks for sharing the information as I arrive at KSA in 10 days. I am interested in moving into Gulf Homes and inquired the vacancy on 1 or two bed to the website managers several times but NO reply.
Do you have any information about the availability on 1-2 bed apartments?

So here's the thing: if you know you're getting RAA, don't expect to get it until probably your 2nd pay cycle, sometimes 3rd.
Before you get RAA, you need to find a place, sign a lease, and give it to housing. This takes time, so be patient.
Also, make full use of your FREE housing at Munirah, or elsewhere as provided, and to be blunt, stay as long as possible. I know a few guys that ended up staying well past 2 months b/c they actually had issues finding a place to stay. Housing will not kick you out; keep in touch with them and explain the situation. However, a date will finally come where they will be firm for you to move out, so be reasonable.
If you look at the bigger picture, it's best to spend some time on camp to get adjusted. The reality is if you're off camp from Day 1, and have never been to Saudi before, you'll more issues adjusting at work. Remember, you're here for work, everything else comes after.
Then, and this is assuming you're in Munirah, there's a checklist of items that need to be signed off before you can move out. It won't happen at once, yet some will. You'll have to call and email people to close items. Once all items have been checked off, then you formally submit your move to off camp.
Also, if I remember, you can't move off camp with RAA until you also get your Iqama.
As for Gulf Homes Compound, I asked management a few days ago: 1 and 2 bedrooms should become available sometime in January and February. I'm not sure about studios, however, for all units here, you can pay month to month, with 1 month deposit, and 2 months notice when leaving. Many places need a 1 year lease with payment in advance: not here.
I don't recall rates for 1 and 2 bedrooms, however, they can covert a 3 bedroom into a 2 bedroom or 1 bedroom by closing/sealing the other rooms off.
Your best bet is to visit Gulf Homes Compound and ask for Jungie.
