New Hires, please note that ASC in Houston has its basement flooded and the servers are down there, so hopefully they will be back up soon. Patience is needed again.

Hi, vpainter, thanks for the update, hope everyone is safe and sound there. Do you have any idea when the staff in ASC will be back to work? Thanks.

This company was goofy and uncoordinated before they were flooded. I have expressed my displeasure for their processes multiple times. It's the lack of communication and follow up by their agents. Aramco requested the documents three times before these goofy SOBs even bothered to notify or call me. I submit all documentation. 6-8 weeks pass after being offered the job. They want to interview me again. No communication from ASC whatsoever. What's even the point?

Hmmmmm....
So it is not just me. Was told I have an offer that would be ready in a month. The month is here and nothing. Zero communication. Not sure what to think about this.

OK thanks for sharing. This gives me a much better sense of what I am dealing with. Saudi time looks like it works at its own pace. I wonder how long it takes Western expats to adjust to this workpace (or is this just the recruiting process)?

I do not blame Saudi Aramco. I blame ASC for their continued failures in communicating the process. If ASC would say from the start, "hey, we're not the most reliable organization and we're a bunch of lazy s", I would appreciate it and know what I'm dealing with. Instead, I get panicked phone calls asking for documentation from me the same day because goofball agent has failed to follow up on any requests with me until the last minute. The nutter asked me to provide an official transcript the same day he notified me.
They officially offered me the job, I submitted documentation then get another request for an interview. This is month number three of these shenanigans. Maybe by years end I'll get some hard numbers.

As much i do not like the slow process, I would like to defend ASC staff who have been courteous and communicative with me. I found them to be honest and responsive. Unfortunately, they have to wait for response from Saudi and their hands are tied until then. They do nit have decision making authority and only act as middlemen. They can however give you details on policy.
The panic and urgent requests are from Saudi. This is the way of working there.
This is my personal experience.

ASC staff I have been working with are very professional and very responsive. Of course my offer arrived to me 4 months after my interview but that is not their fault. My recruiter was like available to respond virtually 24/7. My emails were responded same day and with proper explanations!

As stated, ASC waits on info from KSA. The normal hiring process can take up to over a year. People’s timelines are all normal. You can look at people’s timelines they have posted by doing a search for timeline.
