Hi All, I have done my Engineering Degree in France, then Phd in the UK and have 15 years experience. I had an interview with Aramco which went very but then stumbled because of the so called requirement of BEng from the SCE (Saudi Council of Engineers) As some of you probably know, the French system is different from the American or the British system. meaning the 'Grande Ecoles' have an exam of entry after 2 years of intensive preparation called ( math Sup - preparatory classes). Then once accepted the student stay for 3 years to be granted a Diplome D'Ingenieur (Engineering Diploma) Equivalent to a Masters Degree. I have explained this to Aramco recruitment team but to them, unless a person has a BEng he cannot apply for a iqama. This means all those who did 'Grande Ecoles', which are by the way prestigious engineering schools in France, will be excluded from any recruitment opportunities within Aramco. Has anyone went through this ?? Will really appreciate if I can get my head around this ..
