Hi all i am looking for some advice with regards to making the move to KSA, should i be lucky enough to secure a slot. Firstly i have been offered an interview for a position on the new Jazan refinery with Aramco. My biggest fear about moving is not for myself but my wife and 2 children and their security/education. My son is only just starting primary school in August and im sure he will be well taken care of in that respect, although my daughter is 9 and going into p6 in Scotland. So my questions are regarding her next two years education and once she is of age to start secondary school, where she would go if living/working in Jazan? Whats are your thoughts guys?

I would suggest not to bring family with you. Come here first and start emailing them to find out if they have a place.

The families I know working at Jazan are all currently based in the Eastern Provinces (Dhahran/Damman/Khobar) and weekly commute. I don't know what the timescale is for a Jazan compound to be ready. From the sounds of it, this is several years away.
Securing a school place for your daughter is actually likely to be easier than your son. Early years places (especially in one of the two British school) are highly over subscribed. Don't worry about the change to secondary. The schools sort of "run through". And I believe you don't need to reapply once in the primary to access the secondary school.
In the EP, I feel very safe as a woman. Dont let your wife be concerned about that aspect.

Children education is probably the biggest concern for us and then housing but it's a chicken-egg situation because until you' ve got your visa and are on the ground there's not much you can do in terms of tangible registration as the schools I've seen require physical presence plus the 5K SAR to be paid for registration. Surely there must be a clear business case for people to open more international schools (easier said done I'm sure).
I looked into two British schools and they are already full for 2017-18 and if all goes to plan I may be there around June-July and another 3 months for family to come over?
