Effective January 6th, 2016, Netflix is no longer geographically restricted in Saudi Arabia! They even have their own Saudi website now: www.netflix.com/sa-en/deadline.com/2016/01/ces-netflix-reed-hastings-keynote-1201676799/Effectively, VPN is no longer required to stream Netflix here which results in faster streaming and better picture quality. It's unclear if all films from the US store will be available on the KSA site, so don't everyone run out and ditch your VPN service just yet!

I wonder if it is too late to pull back the retirement letter.
Edited to add: since OSN shows GoT with no editing, what on Netflix could be worse than that? Now please just give me Hulu! I got my Slingplayer working again this trip so life is good. I guess I really don't need Hulu.

bogiefrommuskogee, Whatever gave you the impression that it was not edited for content? It most certainly was (they left in a lot of racy content, but there were scenes in the U.S. version that did not make it to the ME version, like the traumatic scene when Jamie returns to Cersei after his release. Most of that scene was edited out, and I for one am glad of it).

Wow! I had no idea and certainly meant no offense. But what they do show here is surprising and not my particular taste. It is an interesting story but very graphic. There is nothing on Netflix that I want to see that would offend Saudi censors. I was using GoT as the bar and mine is set way below that. I'm surprised they allow GoT at all. Jamie and Cersei are just wrong on so many levels. And I am from Arkansas.

Bogie - no offense taken, I assure you.
I read the GoT books before watching the HBO shows, so followed it closely. But I had read about that episode with J & C (as it was shown in the U.S.), and was very much relieved to see it had been dramatically 'softened'. The books were violent, but considerably less so than the series. (I'll still watch the sixth season though - if only because George RR Martin shows no signs of writing the final books anytime soon!)

bogiefrommuskogee,
Does it really have GOT? I thought that would be banned for sure.
