Hi,
My relocation advisor requested for only a copy of my MSc degree so that it can be attested. Is this normal? Shouldn't both the 1st degree and the MSc be attested?
Thanks

The only time I have heard of attestation outside of the bachelors degree is if you have a professional degree (e.g. JD, MD) Or when you are working in a job function that is specifically covered by your Masters or Doctorate only. I know as an engineer, I just recently came in, and they only cared about my B.S. The Saudi government echoed that. So I only had that one degree attested. But I know another engineer that is in R&D, and he had everything through his Ph.D attested.

In my own case there was no request at all for me to send my first degree for attestation. The RA only asked for my MSc. I am in IT and my MSc was in Telecommunications and Information Systems.

For everyone in my department, they wanted the college transcript in a sealed envelope. Some people are finding that very difficult to get. Some schools don't exist anymore. I finally got mine and took it down to the SCE office and the guy told me to just fax it in. So much for the sealed envelope. One Chinese guy could not get the transcript so HR just changed his job le to remove the word "engineer".
