I want to buy a new car. I've emailed the local dealerships but they do not respond. I'm told that I will have to go to the dealership in person to get any questions answered. But I've also heard that there are some dealerships offer a pick-up service for Aramco employees. They will pick us up and take us to their showroom to make the purchase. Is this true? Can someone tell me which company does this?
Also, I know Chevrolet has some type of Aramco discount. Any other dealers that offer a corporate discount? Thanks!

I've never heard of a pickup service, but a taxi into the dealerships in Khobar should be no more than 50/60 Riyals. Not sure about Aramco discounts on cars.
Ramadan and Eids are great times to buy cars as there are usually steep discounts and promotions during these holidays.

The Aramco discount at Al Jomaih Chevrolet (possibly true also at Universal) was equivalent to USD $1,000 when I purchased my new car from there a couple of months ago. Hope that helps.

Thank you for your replies.
Follow up question... am I able to drive the car home? A colleague said that she had to wait a week or so to have her new car delivered after she purchased it.

Everything depends on which car you're interested in buying. I waited 6 weeks for delivery of my vehicle during Ramdan. I have co-workers that have waited 3 months or longer.

If they physically have the car (and you have iqama and Saudi license), you should get it in about a week with the istimara and the license plate. Do not even think of driving it without insurance. You won't drive it home the day you buy it. You aren't in Kansas any more.

Kansas is not that far away. It is only just over the rainbow. Unfortunately we don't get a lot of rain.
